Victor Roy started his first business whilst at University.  He imported computers and initially sold them from home.  As the business grew, he moved to larger and larger premises.  Revenue increased by more than 50% per year for ten years when he eventually sold the business.  At that time, the business had retail outlets in the major capitals and 1,800 resellers.

He attributed the success to his team, processes and IT systems.   Systems and process ensured that sufficient inventory was always available to meet demand without impacting cashflow.  For example, the sales team could take orders for 200 computers of different configurations in a given day, and the warehouse would ship the same day.

His company had gained a competitive advantage in the market.
